Barkha is a Principal Associate with Algo Legal. She has over 9 years of experience in the areas of corporate tax and international tax. She has advised a number of large multinational and Indian companies on a range of direct tax and regulatory issues, with a special focus on e-commerce and information technology sectors. She has handled assignments that cover corporate restructuring, tax due diligence, international tax assignments on permanent establishment, POEM & GAAR. She has supported clients on various tax issues, including withholding tax, litigation at various levels of tax authorities (AO/ CIT(A)/DRP and ITAT) on diverse matters.
Barkha has prior work experience with leading BIG 4 tax firms (Ernst & Young and KPMG).
She is a graduate in Commerce and a Chartered Accountant.
